Cooking for Rita was always a passion and a creative outlet. She started making peanut brittle over 30 years ago. It became gifts to family and friends for Christmas, birthdays and special occasions. During the holiday season, she kept a list of peanut brittle recipients. The list grew longer and longer over time and people would often call to request to be added.
So Why the Name Rita’s Nuts?
After over 35 years of a successful career in finance, the idea of creating a candy company seemed kind of nuts, why not embrace the concept!
